Free Fun Workshop This March 24th!

The Magnolia Historical Society, known for collecting Magnolia memories and memoirs in Magnolia: Making More Memories and Magnolia:Memories & Milestones is offering a free, fun writing workshop at the Magnolia Branch Public Library on Saturday,March 24, 1-4pm.  The workshop is designed to let authors from beginners to polished writers work on a piece of writing in a relaxing workshop format that offers inspiration, encouragement and leads to a well-done draft.

This is a class for those wanting to get the “good old days” down in written form. We provide the writing prompts, a booklet to write in and published writers guide you through a process similar to what was used by the local authors of the Magnolia books. If you prefer, bring an old photo that brings back memories to prompt your writing.

Join us! Call 284-2430 to register. Space is limited. And, if you have been waiting to get your set of the award nominated and winning Magnolia History books, they are now available for only $50 (for the set). Order by calling 284-5480.
